Feeding Guide

Daily Feeding Guide:

Important Feeding Information

  • These amounts are a starting point only. Your pet may need less or more food to maintain proper weight. Adjust as needed. If you are unsure ask your veterinarian.
  • With your veterinarian's approval, mix increasing amounts of your cat's new food with decreasing amounts of the old food over a 7-day period.
  • Prescription Diet formulas are available in a wide variety of dry foods and treats for your cat's unique needs, and canned foods with delicious flavors your cat will love. Supplementation with other foods or treats is unnecessary and may decrease the effectiveness of the food. When using with canned food and treats, decrease the amount of dry food to avoid overfeeding.
  • Keep fresh water available at all times!
  • For best results, have your veterinarian monitor your cat's condition.
  • To prevent suffocation, keep this plastic bag out of the reach of pets and children.

Healthy Pets, Happy Pet Parents Our three cats have been eating dry C/D since our oldest cat was a kitten and had a medical problem. My middle guy was an SPCA cat and ate whatever they had in stock prior to coming to live with us. He took to the C/D immediately and being a fussy boy who won't even eat a treat, I was happy that the food met his "high standards"!!! I rated it average for value for the money because it is kind of pricy to feed three cats this prescription food but revisiting the vet bill from the medical issue, I might want to change that. Product resolved my cat's urinary issues. I actually put both cats on the food...they like it and are both very healthy and happy. It has been worth the extra cost to maintain their health! August 5, 2013
Thank heavens for c/d Our 1 year-old cat was having issues with frequent small voids and peeing in the bathroom sinks and tubs. At first we thought it was behavioral, however when we started seeing blood in his urine we took him immediately to our vet. After an ultrasound showed significant crystals in his bladder he was started on the s/d diet to eliminate the crystals. From there the vet switched him to the c/d diet. Urinary issues resolved completely. At the suggestion of our vet we tried to switch him back over to the regular food we feed our other cat. Within a week Maestro had recurrence of his urinary symptoms. After talking with the doctor Maestro will remain on c/d diet for the long term. It's worth it as he has many good years left. Since my cat has been on this, she has not had any urinary track infections. That is a good thing! I am not happy at all with your website when it comes to getting coupons. I have not been able to get a coupon off the website for at least ten months. When I try, it tells me that I have already received the number of coupons allowed. OR, it indicates that a coupon is printing and no coupon comes out of my printer. I am not the only person who has trouble getting coupons off your website. It is NOT user friendly. Please send me some coupons as this food is very, very costly September 29, 2014
My cats like this food I have been feeding the CD diet for several years. One of my cats suffered from cystitis so she was put on this prescription diet. It Because I also have two and as long as she was on the diet she did not have any urinary problems. boys I decided to feed this food to all of my cats. Even though the cat that was prescribed this food passed away, I decided to keep all my kitties on it to prevent any urine problems in the future. September 29, 2014
Good product from reputable manufacturer My cats (all three) have been eating this product for years and they all enjoy it and I feel confident that it reduces any risk of future urinary tract problems. Only one of the three has this issue but since it is virtually impossible to separate his food from the others, they all are on this diet for the dry food. Although it is pricey compared to conventional, non-prescription food, it is necessary for keeping my cats healthy and free of future problems. September 28, 2014
Great product, overpriced My two cats are on this food by vet recommendation for some health issues. Though it works well and does seem to help the issues, it is ridiculously expensive and has doubled in price in a short period of time. If your cat has issues and needs this product, it works, but make sure you have a home equity line of credit handy to keep buying it. September 27, 2014
Satisfied with quality This has really helped the problem with my big beautiful cat! September 26, 2014
