Feeding Guide

Daily Feeding Guide:

Important Feeding Information

  • Cover and refrigerate unused portion.
  • These amounts are a starting point only. Your dog may need less or more food to maintain proper weight. Adjust as needed. If you are unsure, ask your veterinarian.
  • With your veterinarian's approval, mix increasing amounts of your dog's new food with decreasing amounts of the old food over a 7-day period.
  • Prescription Diet formulas are available in a wide variety of dry foods and treats for your dog's unique needs and canned foods with delicious flavors your dog will love. Supplementation with other foods or treats is unnecessary and may decrease the effectiveness of the food. When using with dry food and treats, decrease the amount of canned food to avoid overfeeding.
  • Keep fresh water available at all times!
  • For best results, have your veterinarian monitor your dog's condition.

This product works! Our 6 year old English Bulldog was put on this food over 1 year ago due to Mega colon and a few other GI tract issues. She has also lost weight with regular exercise and the Prescription Diet W/D canned food. I am happy to say that Bonnie loves the taste and has not had any further issues. Thank you for a great product. June 16, 2014
Loooooove this product. Saved my boy :) Amazing product!!!! My kiffie has Lost 9kg and counting. W/d has turned my pork chop into a sexy slim healthy looking dog again. He even plays with toys now :). Love this product and will highly recommend it to people that are in the position I was when he was a big boy. January 18, 2014
My Dogs love Hills My dogs have had various problems with other brands of dog food, but Hills give them the best nutrition with no GI problems. Way to go Hills! October 23, 2014
Great product. We have been feeding our dogs this brand for years. Dependable, quality product recommended by one of the most renowned university animal hospitals in the US. After a surgical procedure that left my Josie unable to eat properly as well as the concern about her allergies and weight because she cannot exercise like most dogs. This is the product chosen for her. We would not think of giving her anything else. May 30, 2014
Our 9 lb Pomeranian is diabetic and live on the canned w/d Our 9 pound Pomeranian, Buddy likes the canned w/d even more if we add some chunks of boiled liver for variety. he is diabetic and it is relatively easy to maintain a good blood glucose level. He receives about 6 units of insulin injected along with the w/d. He even eats the w/d as a snack late in the evening before retiring! September 26, 2013
i love your product I am disappointed with your can style to easy opening cans the problem is that the product does not come out of the can due to it has a smaller opening then the can opener style the product does not come out with out some effort by cutting the food into quarters to remove from the can April 19, 2014
Safest and healthiest choice A few years ago, when contaminated food from China killed animals that consumed it, it was with absolute relief that I was continuing to feed my West Highland terriers Hill's WD. You produce a quality product that is an industry standard. I thank you and Maj. Wolf and Mr. Puck thank you for long and contented lives. April 4, 2014
life or death Although sacrifices have been made, we purchase about 5 cases and usually 25 pounds of dry food each month for our 70# mixed breed dog due to a medical necessity. She is like one of the children and we love her very much, without Prescription WD, we probably wouldn't have her any longer. Thank You. November 21, 2013
