Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good Product but not for my Cat There is a great deal of debate over whether cat food should include grain as an ingredient. Many long term, responsible manufacturers, including Hills, now offer grain free options. I try offering my cat grain free but the results generally are less than successful. I was eager to try Science Diet's grain free salmon as my cat enjoys fish and I hoped to see how she took to this grain free wet food. In addition, I am fortunate to participate in the "Pet Parent" program, and I received a small can sample of this product in exchange for an honest review. I have no problem at all with the quality of the product. It is well manufactured and nutritious and up to Science Diet standards. The problem is my cat didn't like it. I put it out for her, she nibbled, and walked away, leaving most of the meal untouched. I left it out and available for several hours but to no avail. I don't like seeing the cat dissatisfied or missing a meal over food she doesn't want to eat. I am far from an expert, but it appears to me that the value of grain free is over-emphasized for most cats. Unless the cat has a particular need for grain free, I am coming to believe that money is better spent on a good quality food with grain. Health is a primary concern but it is also important that the cat be happy and enjoy eating. This particular grain free salmon did not work well for my cat. Each cat of course has individual tastes. I was happy with the opportunity to try the product and to offer my experience with it. April 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Clean their bowl good! My three cats love Science Diet, wet and dry!. They finish every morsel and are satisfied with less. I noticed less shedding, shinier coats and hairballs are infrequent now. December 11, 2014
