Causes many bowel movements Whenever our Lab, Mack eats this product, he consistently wants to go outside to do his thing. At least 2-3 more bowel movements than when using other hills science diet or other dry dog food products. May 27, 2012

Less droppings in the yard is always a good thing!!!! I've been using Sci. Diet Light for Large Breeds for years now and wished I had switch many years before that. I was using what I thought to be a good product and a fairly expensive dog food (large breed#, but when a Sci. Diet representative was in the store one day, she talked me into trying Sci. Diet. I gave it a try, primarily to see how much less droppings I might find in the yard with owning four labradors. Well.... she was right on. Ever since, I have been hooked. This product helps my standard poodle stay on maintenace. I'm so glad that I purchased the adult light large breed product. It keeps my standard poodle on track. The suggested feeding amounts keep her satisfied and her weight even and allowable for her breed and size. I use the dog food for snacks also. She loves it and so does our other dog. May 18, 2012

This is product is great for dogs that want to stay slim. My vet recommended that I use the light variety, as he was a little overweight. Since using it, I have noticed that he hasn't gained any more weight and seems to be losing, but at a slow rate. Of course it depends on the exercise he gets, he is energetic and he seems to like the dog food very much. May 18, 2012
My Lab loves his "diet!" My 5 year old lab is tipping the scales at 126 lbs. and I had a hard time finding a light food that he would eat; I mix the large breed light dry with a small amount of the light canned, and he relishes his meals. I can feed his appetite and still help him lose weight. I couldn't say that about the numerous other premium foods I tried, which he wouldn't either eat or which upset his stomach. May 17, 2012
Great product! We've always fed our pets Science Diet. We think our pets deserve the best and that's how we feel about Science Diet. Our Golden Retreiver was overweight so we switched to the light version of this food and started monitoring the amount she ate. She's lost all the weight we need but Decided to keep her on this food to avoid her gaining too much weight again. Besides the fact that I try to avoid changing food often. Her coat is great ans she loves it. We dogsat for a a friend about 2 weeks. We he returned, he noticed a substantial change in his dog's coat and switched from grocery store food to Science Diet and never went back. May 17, 2012
This product has great features to balance my dogs weight It is very important to me that my dogs keep a healthy weight and with this dog food I do not have to cut down the portions of food they get, that really concerned me with other brands of dog food. It controls their weight, by being a light food, speedng up their metabolism,supplying nutrients, and contributing to the effect of exercise. Science Diet Products are great I feed my 3 labrador retrievers Science Diet for Large Breed Dry dog food every morning. They love it. My chocolate lab would rather have the dry dog food than a can of dog food with meat in it. We go though a lot of bags of Science Diet for Large Breed Dry dog food in a month. Good if mixed with another Science Diet The light really helped our dog lose excess weight that he put on. However, he always had more frequent bathroom trips and trouble holding it, so we mix it half and half with Rice & Lamb Large Breed. Great product. We put our dog on this food to lose weight because of the high fiber content and calorie count. He has a bad thyroid and since being on this food he has lost 13 pounds. He doesn't eat a lot due to the high fiber content which makes it more economical. The fiber makes him feel as if he is full. His coat is also much softer on this food. Our other dog who does not have a weight problem loves this food as well. She would not eat much of any other brands of food but eats all of her food within minutes. May 16, 2012

SO EASY! This is our 3rd dog raised on Science Diet Dry Food. She is nearing 7 years and was changed to SD Large Breed Light apprx. 3 years ago to keep her weight at 75 (runs 15-30 miles wkly) -- 4 cups daily! Treats are fresh baby carrots! Our previous Lab sisters, 60-65 lbs, were also raised on SD Dry products and lived to 14.5 and 16 years respectively running until later life, 12-14 years respectively. May 16, 2012
