My dog was having pretty serious skin issues and his condition cleared up after giving him this food. And he loves the taste!

This food saved our Doberman
After spending thousands of dollars on vet bills and food this food has saved our Doberman, Seger. Seger had major skin sores and hair was falling out. Changed to this food and within 3 weeks major changes for the best. Would never ever change to another food.

This product has great features.
We use Prescription Venison and Potato dry food for our Shih Tzu. She had so many problems with her skin that we hardly took her outside. Once we started her on the above-mentioned dog food, plus giving her allergy medication twice a day, her skin problems were very minimal.

Has really helped my dog.
my dog really loves this dog food, it is expensive but when you have a dog that has sensitive skin it is worth it. Can not complain about this dog food. Would love more coupons.

Great food that made the difference in our dog with severe skin allergies!
We have a 9 yr old rescued shitzu mix who had severe skin rash - after antibiotics that helped but did not fix we paid for a culture and the vet said we had to try to treat for food allergies. There was absolutely no trouble switching her over to the new food - we went cold turkey immediately with no issues. Our 11 yr old Lhasa Apso was not so enamoured with it but she has always been a picky eater. So we kept them separated. Within a week to ten days, she was over trying to get her "sister's" food, so we started mixing in the Presc Diet food - which even though this review is for dry, we use both. Within a few days, we had her on only the Presc Diet food. I make treats out of the canned food as directed by Hills and they both love them! It has been 7 weeks and the skin rash is gone! If you had seen how severe it was, you would find this amazing. Also, the Lhasa has always been a feet licker to the point she coughed up hair balls - the licking has greatly diminished and she acts better. My only negative is the price - I wish Hills would send me more coupons, but since we aren't buying other treats or paying to treat the dog, I guess it's not too bad.

My dog has not been as itchy since placing him on this diet. The cost is rather high but my Bud is worth it - it would be prohibitive to some though who love their pet just as much.

Though this product is a little pricey, my GSD loves it.
My GSD came to us with skin issues, so we were told to put her Prescription Diet d/d. We have given her the Venison and the Salmon and she has gulped down both. The only thing I wish is that I could get a bigger bag than the l7 lbs one, so that I didn't have to order it from my vet every two weeks.

Just what she needs!
As a puppy, Mattie struggled with skin itching to the point where I was seriously concerned that she would need to have her tail surgically removed. She had chewed it raw, along with other spots on her body. Confusing the issue, she had been exposed to mange before we adopted her, so determining whether she had mange or food allergies was difficult. Eventually we tried switching her to venison and potato food and her skin rapidly cleared up. She still is an itchy dog and chews at herself, but it is 98% better. The other 2% is likely due to her uncanny ability to know when the pantry door has been left open and the alternate food dish, aka garbage can, accessible.

This product is the best on the market!
I would recommend this product to anyone looking to feed a high quality pet food to their dogs. We have always fed our dachshunds both the dry and canned food. They love the taste of it, and it can be fed to either a small or large dog.

Lean and mean - not itchy and twitchy
Rowan developed an itch just after his 1st birthday. We were well on our way to an amazing agility career and could not determine the reason for his sudden change. We discount inured joint supplements, his treats were monitored. Finally we choose an allergy diet that was hydrolyzed. He hated it- he ate to take in calories but we had to add canned food and hand feed him.
When d/d Venison and Potato was launched we gave it a try, what did we have to loose?
Rowan now does a happy dance for his food, he eats faster than our other dog and loves meal time. His itch has decreased dramatically and is controlled by food and select treats he is not on any steroids or antihistamines.
He is back on track and able to focus on his training . This year we competed at the Wold Dock Diving championships, at just 20 months his agility career is just beginning and has already earned his Agility Dog of Canada title as well as his CARO rally novice and Novice Team titles. We are excited for 2014!

My dog is doing great with products.
I am very happy with the way my dog is thriving on the d/d as well as the hypoallergenic treats which she loves. I just wish that the price would be lower & that I didn't have to go so far to the vet to get the prooducts.

Grateful for prescription option
While pricey and having had a horrible time with the wet canned food, I feel much more confident with the dry food. It does however tend to constipate my dog and I have to add fiber to her food, when I was able to use Science diet we didn't have this problem.

Expensive but good.
It seems to help my dog with his skin allergies. I wish they would start selling the 27 pound bags again. I have a large dog and have to make a trip to the vet quite often.
