This product cleared our dog's skin issues.
Our boxer continued to get red-patches and a rash until we switched his food. He loves the taste and the rash hasn't reappeared. His coat is shiny as well.

This product has great benefit
In the past we have tried many different varieties of dry food. We have two dogs, one seemed to be allergic to every food we tried regardless of regular name brands from the store, or from natural pet food stores. Once we put her on the D&D Potato and Salmon, it has been 3 years and no problems, also helps with itching. Although our other dog has no issues, he also loves this food.

this product has been good for Beasley
Before I started Beasley on the Prescription Hill Salmon dog food she was always scratching herself with her paws and rubbing her skin up against the wall. Now she has found relief just by switching her dog food to your product.

Grateful for this product. My older dog is very sensitive to many foods so I am happy to find a product that works for her. She looks forward to feeding time and enjoys the taste.
I feel I can trust this product since it was so highly recommended by my vet.

Working so far
I have a three year old west highland terrier. I have read that these little ones are notorious for skin allergies. I hate putting her on medication if at all possible altho she has been on something in the past for short periods of time to control the inflammation of the skin. Once that is under control I take her off of it. I am a firm believer that there is something out there that will help to make her comfortable without the addition of drugs. It is hard to believe anything is wrong as there is never a rash just this obsession to scratch and bite her skin and in the process biting her hair off leaving bald areas on her hind quarters. I started the Hills D/D Potato and Salmon canned this summer as a result that she became quite ill, not sure what she got into altho we had a neighbour up the street that used weed killer to kill off his grass and fear she may have walked along the edge of his property and licked her paws thus becoming ill. She loves the canned food and in the process realized that it was helping with the itchy skin. So just a couple of weeks ago we started the dry kibble since she seems to be worse now that the dryness of winter is here. I am hoping for good results from it as well and possibly will decrease the canned food consumption as the cost of the two of them is quite expensive. I will if I have to keep her on both if I find that the combination of the two will solve the problem or at least make it manageable.

He loves it!
I rescued a "Bassador" (Basset/Lab mix) in August. He was constantly scratching and chewing his paws. My husband thought it was fleas, but as neither our other dog or my granddaughter's dog was displaying any symptoms, I figured it was an allergy of some sort. We went to the vet and he suggested we try a single protein/ carb food. He suggested we introduce him to a new protein, so we started the Hill's Rx diet d/d salmon and potato. I was kind of wary because of the price- what if he doesn't like it? I have never ascribed to the practice of "give it to him anyway. When he gets hungry enough, he'll eat it" But I needn't have worried. He loves it. In fact, my other dog, who has no issues and has never been fond of dry food, likes it as well. I've solved that dilemma by having my vet order a bigger bag. Both of them have benefitted from it. Their coats are both very good. And while it hasn't solved all of Toby's problem( we have since found he is allergic to mold and dust as well), he is suffering much less. And he no longer chews his paws.

My dog has skin allergies and this brand of food is the only type of food that prevents my dog from itching uncontrollably. Prior to switching to this particular brand of food, my dog's skin would be red and inflammed. Since switching, he doesn't have these issues anymore. I highly recommend HIll's Prescription DIet dog food to those whose dogs have skin allergies. He also enjoys the flavor of the food and the dog treats!!

My dog loves this food and it seems to be helping with her skin issues.
My German Shepard mystery mix 2 year old dog has had issues with her paws and ears. Our vet put her on the D/D food for 3 months to determine if it was her food causing the problems. It does seem to be helping her. However, my dog weights 70lbs and a bag only lasts 10-12 days which makes it very costly.

This product has helped us fight off ear infections which is great for me!!
We started our dog on d/d dry salmon & potato food when he was diagnosed with allergies because he had reoccuring ear infections. He loved the food immediately no problem with that. Within a few months we did not have any more ear problems and have not had any for years now. He still enjoys the food and not having to deal with ear infections is great for both myself who has to treat them and pay for medication and him. I just wish it was not so expensive but it is better that ear infections.

Dog has not tired of the taste
The dog is more regular and stools are a bit firmer than with previous food.
The bags needs a better closure. Some closures will not lock and some closures come loose from the bag.

This food agrees with my very sensitive dog.
When the food my cocker spaniel had been on for 10 years changed the formula, she became very ill. I tried some others to no avail until I found Prescription DD. Her skin and coat improved immediately, and she loves it.

We have an 11 year old dachshund. He has been suffering with a horrible yeast infection. We took him to our regular vet who put him on antibiotics for 2 weeks. It didn't seem to make it any better and they did not offer any other solutions. We struggled for almost 3 months trying everything. Nothing worked. We decided to take him to a different vet. He did a very thorough examination and took some skin samples. He had the "elephant" looking back legs and he licked until spots were raw. The new vet said we were going to attack the problem verociously. He put my dog on 2 antibiotics and a low dosage of Prednisone. Also changed his diet to Hill's Prescription D/D canned food. We have been on this new regimen for 3 weeks now. What an amazing difference! Also found out he had a staff infection which we didn't know about. Our dog is also eating the dry food and we got the treats for him which he loves. The yeast infection is almost gone #no smelly dog anymore# and his coat is shiny and pretty again. I would recommend if your pet is having skin issues please check with your vet. We and our dog are much happier!

Once we switched our pup Gordon over to the DD he seems to be less itchy. I don't see him nearly scratching as much as he did before using DD. He also gobbles the food down fast than the old brand. So either taste better or the smaller pieces are easier to chew. All in all a great product and highly recommended.
