Great food for my overweight senior cat! At our last vet. Visit, my 9.5 year old furry boy Pancho weighed in at 15.4 pounds. His vet recommended prescription diet r/d. Excellent for any overweight cat! This food has been highly recommended for monstrously overweight cats (20lbs+) and it works very quickly without any adverse effects to the animal. I got my cat, Angel, when I was in fourth grade. She was my first real pet, and she is still with me today. Angel and I moved to a much smaller home a couple years ago, and the loss of a staircase and playmates (as well as outdoor access) really took a toll on her physique. "Light" foods were not light enough for her, and she was eating so little already that I really couldn't feed her less without robbing her of vital nutrients. This food fixed all of my problems completely. Losing weight has made Angel more active and taken loads of stress off of her geriatric joints, increasing her mobility tenfold. If you could hear her purring at my feet right now, you would know that r/d has made her a much happier kitty. December 1, 2012
