What is a natural balanced pet food with added vitamins and minerals?
"Natural" means using preservatives, flavors and other ingredients which fall under the regulatory (AAFCO) definition of natural. Synthetic preservatives, synthetic stabilizers, artificial flavors, etc., would not be allowed under the natural designation. The only exceptions are the vitamin and mineral supplements that cannot be obtained naturally, and are "acceptable" additions to "natural" formulas with the proper designation.

These products are appropriate for puppy or adult dogs that do not have other special needs like obesity, skin conditions or sensitive stomach concerns. When an animal is on a therapeutic nutritional protocol, ALWAYS discuss any food changes with your veterinarian, who is best qualified to make that decision for your pet. Your veterinarian has made a clinical judgment as to the appropriate nutritional therapy for your pet's condition and should be consulted regarding any food change.

Yes, we recommend feeding the Science Diet® brand product that meets your pet's lifestage. Make sure you reduce the amount of dry food you feed accordingly.

Can pets with food allergies be fed Science Diet® Nature's Best®?
True food allergies or adverse reactions to foods are disease conditions and the pet should be under the supervision of the veterinarian. ANY pet with a suspected illness should always be examined by a veterinarian for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. The pet owner should consult their veterinarian regarding a food recommendation.
