Q. How does the food work?
A. Canine j/d has a unique formula with high levels of Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA), an omega-3 fatty acid found in high concentrations in fish oil that helps maintain joint function. In addition, j/d contains glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate, which provide building blocks for healthy cartilage, and L-carnitine, which helps maintain optimum body weight.

Do dogs like the taste of Canine j/d?
A. Available in both canned and dry formulas, Canine j/d offers the right combination of advanced nutrition and a great taste that pets love to eat.

Q. What studies have been conducted on Canine j/d?
A. Canine j/d was developed based on over a decade of research including several recent clinical trials with more than 500 dogs. In one study, eight out of 10 dogs fed Canine j/d experienced improvement in weight-bearing ability. Conclusions were based upon extensive research including four clinical studies with more than 50 practicing veterinarians: one university study and three practice-based studies on client-owned dogs. Feeding periods ranged from three to six months.

Q. If my dog is taking medications to treat joint conditions, is it safe for him to eat Canine j/d?
A. Canine j/d can be used with confidence in conjunction with current treatments. You should always consult your veterinarian before making changes to your dog’s food or medication. However, Canine j/d is not intended for puppies or pregnant/nursing dogs due to controlled protein levels.

Q. Does Canine j/d spoil over time if not used?
A. If unopened and stored in a cool, dry place, Canine j/d is fresh until the “Best Before” date printed on the package. Canine j/d should be consumed within 60 days after opening the bag. The bag should be closed between feeding to maintain freshness.
